NCSoft announced-ground breaking news that will change the gaming world.
Lineage Eternal will be getting a simultaneous worldwide global release with multiplatform support for both PC and Mobile version.


Can't believe it! I am so happy! Any Lineage Eternal fans out there to jump the hype train and discuss? :)

Lineage Eternal will now go into Closed Beta in the first half of next year (내년 상반 resp. 來年 上半):

So Elmar You as Korean speaking person can confirm(through other sources) that multilanguage global release it real? And we all get CBT test with Korean players the same year as the game realise?

Things I didn't like so far:
- DPS meter, there is a table at the upper right of the screen that shows the top DPS during a Raid Boss;
- Gold, Silver, Bronze money system like WoW. What couldn't they just put Adena?

My fears about the possible direction that they could take:

- A rush-to-cap MMO following th WoW trend where players would achieve level cap in few weeks-days.
- Instances killing the open world, it doesn't matter open bosses if you can just go instance over and over. In WoW there are open bosses and a huge world, but all is mesningless due to the instances. I hope at least some kind of cooldown for instances.

At the moment they are aiming at a simultaneous global release (글로벌 동시 출시를 목표로 합니다). The only named countries, however, are Korea and Japan:

This could be a coincidence, having simply taken only Japan as an example, or it might have technical reasons. Japanese is very close to Korean, like Dutch and German, and relatively easy to translate. So it would make sense to start with that country, also because there are multinational sieges and PvP tournaments on something like our Dimensional Server planned. The lag and time difference between Korean and Japan is negligible, whereas the USA are in a completely different category distance-wise.

Something else that needs to be mentioned is that while Closed Beta starts in the first half 2015, the live version of Lineage Eternal will go online late in 2016 or early in 2017 (2016년 말에서 2017년 초에는 상용화를 할 생각이다):
