The game test is being postponed since 2013, I hope it is worth the wait, if it dissapoints, Koreans will stay in Lineage 1 anyways. Maybe it can have a better response in west?

Keep in mind, the last videos with actual game footage are from the G-Star 2014, more than a year ago:

Lots of things may have changed in the meantime and the assumption that Lineage Eternal has anything to do with Lineage 1 might be far from the truth :)

Somehow this reminds me of the Goddess of Destruction update, which was kept secret for two years, running in NCsoft's job advertisements etc. under the camouflage name "New Project". The developers knew fully well that GoD would be controversial and tried to avoid a year-long discussion among fans. I can't help the impression that something similar is happening with Lineage Eternal right now :D

Maybe the L2 Arena was an experiment and Lineage Eternal will be a MOBA game? ;)

mobas are so much easier to make, balance, and milk than mmos. no investment onthe player's part = no investment on the developer's part. Just throw some pretty female characters around and let the fans choose their favorite.

After the failure of Wildstar (the last hope is how steam release will help) they really need to make LE a success. 100 million bucks and more were put in that funeral of a game called Wildstar.

Blade & Soul did very well due to western release, but nobody knows how long it can sustain.

No wonder why NCSOFT want to enter MOBA market with MXM, LOL made twice the money WoW made last year:

Which is also why it won't be easy to get a hold of this market.

This is very true. While with Lineage 1 and Lineage 2 NCsoft was a trend setter, making new and - at the time - unique games with cutting-edge graphics, they are now chasing trends. In order to get a toehold in the MOBA market, NCsoft would have to offer a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena that is, at least in a few aspects, better than League of Legends so that players would be willing to try it out. Since Riot Games is in this business several years longer than NCsoft and has a huge intellectual infrastructure they can draw from - while NCsoft has to start from zero - MxM is bound to go the way of WildStar. Mark my words :D

Well they have a decent shot if they get it going soon.
Dota2 still missing korean servers, the hoster of dota2 in china is fucked up (possibly new company will take over soon). Following in korea is low.
League is huge there though, but dropping in west and Riot is doing very strange things upsetting their community plenty. Dota2 will be king in eu/russia atleast, other markets are open :p

Thought whats missing is the next big mmo, but gl doing that with shareholders calling the shots. Probably need to develop for 10 years to make it huge. Gotta have a solid plan moving forward atleast 2-3 years after release so things dont feel rushed.
