I lost my interst in L2 a long time ago. But heck. Adding pve-pvp items is the apex of the bad decisions developers have done. RIP L2.

L2 for a long time suffered from a big development mistake - some classes are made for pve and suck in pvp <- it is a bad idea to do in a open world pvp game. And uppon that they still want a definitive segregation of pve and pvp by gear... I hope they stay away from Lineage 1. The day a crazy L2 dev puts his hands on L1, the game will suffer major server merges and fall in revenue within one year.

It is a way to make PvP enthusiasts pay a price for their murderous activities. While the SAs bestowed by an Anakim Soul Crystal increase PvE damage (in PsychedelicMushroom's case 3%, at Stage 10 it would be 10%), a Lilith Soul Crystal only gives increased PvP damage, which means you are leveling that bit slower resp. need more Shots/have a higher expenditure to kill the same number of monsters:

This is in line with the Dark/Light Castles that were introduced in Glory Days, where a clan that opts for the dark side gets a tax revenue but their members can be killed by anybody without having the penalty of an increased PK count. Or now in Underground, where Chaotic characters can't use Shots any more, making them barely able to kill under-85 players :mrgreen:

But of course you are right - this kind of moralistic interference reduces the choices players have available for what they do when they are logged in. It's not in character with/what attracts people to a sandbox game, thus alienating te bread-and-butter player base of Lineage 2. Not a smart course of action in an age where companies need to find a market niche to be able to survive :D

Separating players-classes by pve and pvp is a thing after WoW. If you want to make a themepark game ok. But it is a terrible idea to implement in a sandbox game as L2 used to be a long time ago (aka C1 - Interlude).

Fortunately L1 still remains untouchable when it comes to its sandbox features and its classes are balanced to for both pve and pvp. It is, I believe, the secret of its long term success. (In L1 for example you don't see archer-mage oneshooting anybody, they need several attacks to kill a player with similar level-items).

More and more of those Seven Signs SAs are popping up. Here is for example a Trigger Stun Stage 5 on a Bloody Amaranthine Fighter:

has the issue been solved yet of having 4 SA's ? so 2 regular 1 Mystic and 1 7 Sign the same time ?

So far we only have the announcement from August 28 that this "has been scheduled" (예정되어 있어):

Nothing has been mentioned in patch notes that a fix has been actually implemented though, and in screenshots I only ever see weapons with three SAs - 2 regular ones and 1 Seven Signs. I have still not seen a Mystic SA in Korea. So maybe it's just that nobody has eveer gotten together the 10 Mystic Soul Crystal Fragments and in theory you could actually have 4 SAs. My bet would be on the issue not having been solved, however.

In the meantime the Trigger.Stun etc. effects of the Seven Signs SAs have been fixed so that they land reliably on the opponent. But during the last Siege on February 14 a new problem has turned up - since the Stun lands with 100% probability, it reliably interrupts the engraving process on the Holy Artifact and it becomes impossible to take a Castle from defenders who have somebody with that SA among their number. This makes the attackers very unhappy:

By the way, iIIiiiIiiiIIIiII is a lvl 102 Sigel Shillien Templar but not the leader of the LongDesire clan on Sieghardt, which at present holds Dion Castle:

I always smile when i remember how you always portraited them as well educated. They are so educated but sadly not in the right direction. They might know poetry, literature, history, philosophy but as game designers they are awfull.
