yeah so not worth to spend money on until it's time for a complete pc upgrade incl. mobo etc.

Thx for your feedback guys!

If the only thing you do with your rig, is playing L2 and other old games, which utilize only one core, you can always grab a Kaby Lake Pentium for $60.

I am using gtx 970 with a 1080p 144hz screen atm and sometime i notice stuttering in city and boss fight,
This make me want something like this with a little more power to improve the gaming experience,
I am looking at investing Gtx1070 to play with my current screen or should i go all out and buy Gtx 1080 with 1440P 144hz screen?

Cheers

I have the 1080 and love it. If you're thinking of the 1070 then you might aswell pay the little bit extra for the 1080.

got a 1080Ti now which in combo with a 1440p G-sync 165Hz monitor looks amazing - ofc you don't need that at all for L2 but it's nice to be able to multi box and still having plenty of real estate space on your monitor to do/run other stuff at the same time :)

well I use the Dell S2417DG which is quite nice and very good for it's price - might upgrade later to a 1440p HDR-Gsync monitor but those are not even available right now let alone going to be affordable lol..

using 1600/1200 for main screen and lowest default for my boxes as I don't really need anything bigger then that as I sit quite close to the monitor. if NC ever decides to pump up the graphs I'm ready 8-)

Hi there.

THAT SOUND PRETTY GOOD!
Wonder with the 1080Ti do you still see the lagging when walking in Aden or the place where there are a lot of players?

Don't mean to necro, but the proper way to get more performance is to edit the L2.ini file and changing the "Cachemegs" from the default 32 to a range between 300 and 700 depending on how close you are cutting it to the 32-bit memory limit and how often the memory stack of the engine will defrag itself to maintain stability in that 32-bit memory limit.

Dunno if the anti-cheat allows it, but you can also try to install Lineage 2 on a "Ramdisk", aka a virtual disk you create out of RAM, Lineage is quite large though, so I wouldn't suggest this unless you have 32 gB of ram or more.
